Buddha-Bowl at Burning Man
I'm getting more excited as we get closer to Burning Man (end of Aug). The camp Ironica, will be hosting several events and workshops including several occurances of the Great Singing Buddha-Bowl Experiment. It should be bigger than ever before, and I am at once rather nervous as well as excited about how it might go.
So nice to be making a real contribution to BRC in this way.

Your site is a brilliant example to other composers, thank you.
Hi Rolfe, just watched Sideways again and really like the score. Nice work, you've inspired me to get behind the piano and knock out some chords.

Hey, Rolfe!
I loved your score for Sideways, man, that was amazing. The cue that you used for the end scene, as well as the part where Giamatti and Madsen drive to her place together at night is hand down some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard. Unfortunately, I couldn't find that cue on the cd. Is there any way I can find that music somewhere?
I am a composer from Norway, by the way, and I just moved to LA from New York to study scoring for film at USC. If you ever need an assistant, a pianist or something I would love to work for you.
My email is [email protected]
Best wishes,
Ola Gjeilo.
Mr. Kent! Your score to Sideways was incredible, I salute you!
Anyone know how to get started in the industry, we moved to la me and my friend we want to do some scoring for movies. How you got ur start rolfe? maybe u could enlighten us.
I got my start by working for free on lots of student short films. They always need music. Some of those students, years later, were making real movies, and I began to get real work. And it's a great way to gain experience and grow familiar with the very exacting requirements and unusual skill-set needed to score film.
have you ever composed any concert music?
